Our readers are passionate about bikes. It’s why we do this. But sometimes, that passion will go a little overboard. And because online media is a forum, we hear about it. More accurately, we listen to it. Often, it helps guide our approach to covering the subjects we cover. Or it reminds us to look beyond those subjects once in a while. Public comments keep us engaged with our audience, they are a good thing.

Then sometimes, they are nuclear dumpster fires of ignorance, sexism, homophobia and abysmal grammar. But if you don’t take them too seriously, they’re actually kinda funny. So, at last year’s Sea Otter, we gathered some Bike Mag alumni and we all sat down and together, we dove into those dumpster fires.
